Join us in the stunning Surrey Hills, this workshop is for Beginners Photographers in The Surrey Hills, some of the most beautiful countryside in South East England.
This workshop is aimed at Beginners and explores the technical use of teh cmaera and touches on composition and the creative effects too.
The Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) is one of 46 nationally protected landscapes in the UK, having equal landscape status and protection to a national park. The hills stretch across a quarter of the county of Surrey, from the chalk North Downs that run from Farnham in the west above Guildford, Dorking and Reigate, to Oxted in the east. The hills embrace an amazing variety of countryside, from the rolling chalk downs of yew and box woodland and flower rich grasslands, to the acid heaths and woodland of the Greensand Hills that rise to form the highest point in south east England at Leith Hill, all less than 25 miles from London.
We will be in a small friendly group of 6 people and Phil, your tutor, giving you plenty time for one to one tuition. Phil has lived close to or in the North Downs and has been teaching photography for the last 20 years.
We may visit several locations or a few, depending on the light at the locations we may linger or move on. The workshop will cover all aspects of the use of your camera and can be used to recap or for complete beginners.
As well as improving your photography, you will learn about the history ecology and geology of this area of Britain's most wooded county.
