Our Intermediate Level Weekends enable those who have the basic skills in photography to take their images to the next level of creativity, dramatic composition and impact.
At Locations in the Dorset, Norfolk and Snowdonia, You will spend the weekend improving and mastering your photography in stunning locations and finding new ways to capture unique images. Taking you to our special locations that will provide you with rare opportunities to enhance your portfolio.
There are many things you can’t plan; the majority of great photos are a combination of knowledge and a dash of luck combined! We will reveal the best ways to research and plan your next adventure. Choosing the best of all the resources available.
A lot of focus is given over the weekend to fine tuning your composition and storytelling techniques. To look for that one image that truly ‘speaks a thousand words’.
We will help you look at the image you want to create through both a journalistic, documentary-style approach and a moment in time epic shot.
We will challenge you to take a ‘spread’ of pictures taken from a given location. This spread without supportive text should be able to tell a complete story. This element is ideal for those who are supplying images for a blog, to a magazine or a sponsor. Or those that just want a better recollection of their travels and adventures.
Planning is key, so with our experiences in over a 130 countries, we will discuss with you what local conditions do you need to be aware of such as weather, temperature, tides, sunsets, to local customs and laws. These need to be considered to get the most out of your photo adventure.
During the weekend you will have the opportunity to master ‘Long Shutter Speeds’ and the ‘B’ Bulb Mode. Ideal for photographing water, stars, lights and much more. These techniques will add a whole new dimension to your photography.
